Events Kicking-off United College's 50th Anniversary

The Year of 2006 marks the 50th Anniversary of United College. The "Si Yuan Amphitheatre Opening Ceremony" held at 10:00am on September 15 (Friday) at Si Yuan Amphitheatre together with the "Golden Jubilee Anniversary Activities Kick-off Ceremony cum Golden Jubilee 1st Alumni Talk" held at 11:30am at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall on the same day, will kick-off a galaxy of programs celebrating the 50th Anniversary of United College.

Lecture by Larry Diamond

The University has invited Prof Larry Diamond, an expert on democracy and the mentor for the master's thesis of the former secretary for security Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, to deliver a lecture on democracy for free:

Shaw College Alumni Association Social Service - Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration Party for the Children of Heep Hong Society

Book Club Talks

The autumn series of the Book Club talks will start in September. Ms Cheung Shin-yee, an alumna of CUHK and the Chief Editor of Commercial Press (HK) Ltd., will deliver the first talk on "Reading and Appreciating Dun Huang (敦煌)".

Family and Closely Held Business Forum (家族及股權封閉式企業論壇)

The CUHK Center for Entrepreneurship will organize the "Family and Closely-Held Business Forum (家族及股權封閉式企業論壇)" on October 20-21 (Friday – Saturday) at InterContinental Grand Stanford Hotel, TST East. The Forum aims to allow participants to understand how issues such as governance, strategy, family dynamics, financing and succession affect the success of the business.
