I·CARE Hong Kong Cultural Tours Project: Extra Tours for CUHK Members Only

The exclusive tour for CUHK members themed "Public Space in To Kwa Wan" under the I·CARE Hong Kong Cultural Tours Project 2018-19 was successfully conducted on the 19th of this month.  In view of the overwhelming response, this Centre will organise two additional tours of the same kind next month.  Details are as follows:

Theme 1: Formation and Transition of Markets in Prince Edward and Mong Kok

Date:11 May 2019 (Saturday)
Content:Participants will visit Prince Edward and Mong Kok to learn about the
formation and transition of the markets therein.  They will also have a chance
to reflect upon the survival of small shops nowadays.
Tour Time:10:30 am - 1:00 pm
Assembly Time:9:45 am
Assembly Point:Exit A, University MTR Station
Language:Cantonese

Theme 2: Immigrant Community at North Point

Date:25 May 2019 (Saturday)
Content:Participants will learn about the immigrant culture in North Point.  Through
visiting traditional shops and heritage sites, they are allowed to explore the
positions and roles of different immigrants in that district.
Tour Time:10:30 am - 1:00 pm
Assembly Time:9:30 am
Assembly Point:Exit A, University MTR Station
Language:Cantonese
Quota:15 (first-come-first-served)
Fee:Free of charge

Round-trip shuttle bus service between CUHK and the tour destination will be arranged for both tours.  Participants may also dismiss individually at the end of the tour.
