Russian and Cyrillic: Что это?
Deciphering the code – yes you can do it
Date | 19 October 2017 (Thursday) |
Time | 7:00 - 8:30 pm |
Content | For some of us, Cyrillic alphabet may look like mirrored Latin letters. Or it may resemble codes to be cracked. In this workshop, we will learn to read and write and even speak some basic Russian. You will definitely develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of this charismatic language system. |
Human Trafficking and Modern-day Slavery
Globalisation… of the dark side
Date | 23 October 2017 (Monday) |
Time | 6:30 - 8:00 pm |
Content | Slavery was more common in human history than we tend to admit, but that was all in the past… not? I bet you'll be surprised that there are more slaves than ever before – though less visible. Matt Friedman, an experienced humanitarian activist who spent decades tracking down human trafficking, will tell you the truth. |
