CUHK Vice Chancellor Visits Huaqiao University and Concludes Collaboration Agreement

Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), visited Huaqiao University (HQU) on October 29 to strengthen academic linkage.  A collaboration agreement was concluded during the visit.

Prof. Sung met with Prof. Jia Yimin, President of HQU to discuss collaboration opportunities between the two universities.  The two Presidents also signed a collaboration agreement at the meeting.  Partnership development under this agreement will include interflow of faculty members and students, joint academic activities and research collaborations.  The plan to deepen collaboration on the national "Belt and Road" Initiative was also devised.

HQU and CUHK initiated collaboration in 2015, when Prof. Sung visited HQU and delivered a talk for "Lectures by International Distinguished Asian Scientists" in June.  This visit consolidated collaborative efforts and enhanced ties between both universities for future cooperation.
