News CSE Department hosted ACM-ICPC Asia Hong Kong Regional Contest The 2016 ACM-ICPC Asia Hong Kong Regional Contest was held on November 5-6, 2016, as one of the events for the Faculty of Engineering's 25th Anniversary Celebration.  The ACM Programming Contest is an annual international event with a long history.  The Hong Kong Regional Contest, hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, attracted 59 teams to the beautiful CUHK campus.  After an exciting, challenging and mind-blowing match of five hours, team "Wood Cube" from Fudan University won the Championship of this regional contest, thereby securing it a place in the World Final. We were honoured to have as our officiating guests: Dr. David CHUNG, the Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Prof. Joseph SUNG, the Vice Chancellor and President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, who congratulated and presented prizes to the winning teams at the Award Presentation Ceremony.
