Special Gifts
You may send gifts to your parents and your loved ones, but your alma mater? Recently, some alumni, among many others, contributed their talents as special gifts to the University to express their gratitude to their alma mater.

Benjamin Hsu (86/GS/BSA), MBA alumnus and amateur musician, is one of the caring alumni who contributed his music talents. Not only did he provided special discount to CU alumni on a "Classical Music Appreciation Programme" of which he had been invited as speaker, he also donated his professional fee for the programme to support the development of the University.

Meanwhile, around 50 alumni joined the CUHK Golf Day 2007, an annual fund-raiser for the University, on 2 November at Mission Hills Golf Club in Dongguan. Through the event, they have raised considerable funds to enable the University to go from strength to strength in achieving greater excellence.

Hiking enthusiasts and alumni Peter Man (72/UC/SOC) and Billy Choi (82/CC/ECO) also contributed their sports talents to the University by serving as team leaders at the "Tree Planting Day of Environmental Protection Week 2007 and Opening Ceremony of CUHK Community Afforestation Scheme" on 27 October. Albeit the arduous task of looking after fellow alumni on the rugged hill roads, they exemplified their caring spirit for the University and fellow alumni with their service. They have also shown intial interest in support of a proposed Alumni Hiking Group. If you are interested in being one of the members of the group, please send your particulars (i.e. name, age, year of graduation, major, email and contact no.) with "Alumni Hiking Group" in the subject to alumni@cuhk.edu.hk for future arrangement.

There are many ways to show your support for the University, just as your fellow alumni did. Choose one that fits you most by visiting the website of AAO: http://www.alumni.cuhk.edu.hk/eng/giving/index.html.
