4. Security Standard on Firewall Configuration

As for the introduction of University Firewall Policy in 2015, all machines connected to the campus intranet must be protected by firewalls.

After consulting department IT Coordinators and LAN Administrators, ITSC has finalized the "Security Standard on Firewall Configuration" in Dec 2015. This guideline lists a minimum security standard on firewall configuration to comply with and states clearly the operating procedures for raising exception services. It also specifies the roles and tasks involved in configuring and operating the firewalls, monitoring policy compliance, so that all parties involved in the University can follow easily and unambiguously.
