OALC organized a mid-autumn gathering for incoming scholars and students under our Hong Kong Scholars Programme,  Mainland China and Taiwan Visiting Scholar Programme and Mainland China and Taiwan Visiting Student Programme on 13 September, providing an opportunity to enjoy the mid-autumn festive atmosphere in the University together.

CUHK attendees include Prof. Feng Shengli, Department of Chinese Language and Literature and Ms Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China). They met with scholars from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science and Institute of Metal Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ningbo University, Xiamen University, Southwest University, Soochow University and Jiangsu Normal University and students from Shanghai International Studies University. Participants shared their experience in the University as well as their teaching and learning outcomes in Hong Kong.

To forge academic exchange and collaboration between CUHK and its cross-strait partners, OALC launched the Mainland China and Taiwan Visiting Scholar Programme in 2008 and the Mainland China and Taiwan Visiting Student Programme in 2011. The Office also started coordinating the Hong Kong Scholars Programme in 2015.  Staff members, scholars and students from CUHK's partner institutions with university collaboration agreements are welcome to apply.
