2017 Hong Kong Scholar Programme: A Record high of successful matches in CUHK

"2017 Hong Kong Scholar Program" has finalized a total of 60 "Hong Kong Scholars" from 120 nominated young scholars from mainland China after rounds of assessment. The Hong Kong Scholars will soon arrive Hong Kong to start their postdoctoral research training at 7 Hong Kong universities. Ten "Hong Kong Scholars" are matched with supervisors from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) this year and will undertake research training at 8 academic and research units, a record high of successful matches.

The "Hong Kong Scholar Program" was jointly launched by the Society of Hong Kong Scholars and the China National Postdoctoral Council under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in 2010. The program aims to help professors in Hong Kong engage high quality PhD graduates from leading universities on the mainland to undertake postdoctoral research work and training in Hong Kong. The stipend of the scholars will be shared between the mainland government and the Hong Kong supervisors. The Office of Academic Links (China) will coordinate the applications of CUHK members and offer administrative support to the scholars and their host supervisors. Enquiries can be forwarded to Miss Lea Chu of our office at 39433225 or via leachu@cuhk.edu.hk.  For programme details, please visit here.
