Lecture by Movie-maker Ms. Sylvia Chang held on CUHK campus

The Information Sharing Programme is one of the many initiatives of the Office of Academic Links (China) in promoting and facilitating academic exchange with CUHK's Mainland partners. With the joint effort of Communications and Public Relations Office and Information Technology Services Center, OALC shared the Lecture by the prominent movie-maker Ms. Sylvia Chang with its counterparts in Mainland China.

On 31 October 2014, Ms. Sylvia Chang visited CUHK as a guest speaker for the Shun Hing Lecture in Arts and Humanities co-organized by CUHK and Shun Hing Group. Ms. Chang shared her stories of defeat on the road to victory', attracted about 700 CUHK staff, students, and alumni.  The University arranged live webcast in high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) for the public.

OALC shared the lecture with its counterparts on the mainland, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Xian Jiaotong University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, China University of Science and Technology, Shantou University, Central China Normal University, and Northeast Normal University. Most of the universities promoted the lecture to their university community. Amongst them, the live broadcast in Central China Normal University attracted over a hundred teachers and students to attend.

The sharing programme not only utilizes the existing resource, but also contributes to maintain close links between CUHK and its partner institutions in Mainland China in promoting academic and cultural exchange. For enquiries on lecture sharing activity, please contact Ms. Pansy Lo of OALC (pansylo@cuhk.edu.hk).
