Ten CUHK students landed in Harbin and Blagoveshchensk, a border city of Russia, for a 10-day student interflow program coordinated by the Office of Academic Links (China) [OALC] with the Harbin Institute of Technology from 9 to 18 June 2014. Participating students visited the Amur State University in Blagoveshchensk for interflow and had a taste of local delicacies and performing arts there. Apart from the cultural and historical visits, students also attended academic seminars on history and experienced a white summer at ice caves and geological parks in Harbin and Heilongjiang.
To provide CUHK students with different exposures and to have interaction with mainland and Taiwan students, OALC organizes a wide range of student interflow programs every year. Students can have the opportunities to take part in summer courses, service-learning programs, field trips on special topics, cultural exploration tours and visits to historical sites and enterprises. From April to June 2014, 155 CUHK students participated in the following 16 programs coordinated by OALC.
