CUHK 10K Night Challenge 2019: Successfully Held |

Jointly organised by the University Physical Education Unit, Communications and Public Relations Office and this Centre, the CUHK 10K Night Challenge 2019 was successfully held on 8 March attracting around 850 CUHK students, staff and alumni to experience the night run together. There were two types of entries for advanced runners (10 km) and beginners (4 km) respectively. Both groups started and finished their race at the South Square of Pak Shek Kok Promenade, Shatin. Prof. Rocky S. Tuan, Vice-Chancellor and President, delivered an officiating speech at the kick-off ceremony, and shot the starting pistol together with Prof. Jimmy Yu, Head of United College. The runners were led by Mr. Daniel Lee, Lecturer of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education and a former member of the Hong Kong Triathlon National Squad, to do warm-up exercises. As for the guests responsible for presenting prizes, they were Prof. Wong Wing Shing, Master of S. H. Ho College, Dr. Elean Leung, Director of Physical Education Unit, and this Centre's Director Ms. Irene Ng. The former two also took part in and completed the race. |
