Priceless Gifts

Over the years, many alumni have given back to the alma mater in various forms, be it supporting the research and development endeavors of the University, sponsoring scholarships, engaging in alumni services or other creative ways. Recently, 2 alumni, among many examples, joined the roll of their precedents by presenting their endearing thoughts in what could well be considered as priceless gifts to the alma mater!

One of the 2 caring alumni is Felix Lau from Hawaii who made a special trip back to campus to present his $10,000 donation in person to the Director of the Alumni Affairs Office in support of the publication of "CU Alumni" Magazine. His thoughtfulness is a true blessing by any standard, and certainly outweighs the value of any monetary gift.

Another is alumnus and budding local comic artist and author Lee Chi Kit who contributed his artistic talent to the University with his cover illustration for the latest issue of "CU Alumni" Magazine, essentially a labour of love which took considerable time to draft and color, down to the finest detail.

"CU Alumni" Magazine which is published quarterly in March, June, September and December is one of the key communication channels for our alumni to keep updated with the alumni news and the latest development of the University. Since its first publication in 1994, "CU Alumni" has been sent free of charge to all CU alumni who have registered their current address with the Alumni Affairs Office. Currently, "CU Alumni" has a circulation of close to 70,000 copies. With the rapid growth in alumni figures over the years and the endeavour to further enhance the magazine, the Alumni Affairs Office appeals to you for support.

A gift is a way of saying you care. Join fellow CU alumni in keeping the spirit of giving back alive. To learn more about the ways of giving back to your alma mater, please visit the website of AAO: http://www.alumni.cuhk.edu.hk/eng/giving/index.html.
