For example, 2 pre-University College diploma graduates donated US$1,500 and precious collections of articles, videos and sound recordings of Peking Opera respectively as gifts to celebrate New Asia College's 60th anniversary. Chung Chi graduates from the Class of 1968 raised $750,000 to set up scholarships for current students and organized a series of thematic talks in celebration of their 40th reunion anniversary. United College graduates from the classes of 1960's – 2000's now serve as Council and Ex-co members of the United College Alumni Association. Some 60 Shaw alumni and friends made a special trip back to campus for the first-ever Shaw College Alumni Day to take part in an "All-in-a-Bus" fund-raising activity in support of the development of the College.
