Tribute to Prof. Charles Kao–Campus Activities (5 Feb–14 Mar)

'The Lore of a Laureate: A Tribute to Charles Kao, Former CUHK Vice-Chancellor and Nobel Laureate' Exhibition

Featuring the Nobel Prize Medal and Diploma, and other precious medals of Prof Kao, the exhibition will be held from 6 February to 20 March at the Exhibition Hall on G/F of University Library. The opening hours are as follows:

Monday - Friday

10:00am - 7:00pm

Saturday10:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday1:00pm - 6:00pm

During the Chinese New Year:

13 - 16 FebruaryClose
17 - 19 February10:00am - 6:00pm
20 February10:00am - 4:00pm

Prof and Mrs Charles Kao will be officiating at the opening ceremony of the exhibition on 5 February. Live broadcast of the ceremony will be available at http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/cpr/charleskao.

"Walk with Professor Kao" CUHK Walkathon

In support of the Charles K. Kao Scholarship Endowment Fund which is newly established by the University to provide prizes and awards for outstanding and innovative undergraduates with preference to students majoring in Physics and Engineering, the "Walk with Professor Kao" CUHK Walkathon will be organized on 14 March (Sunday), with Professor Kao officiating at the Starting Ceremony. Part of the donations will also be used to develop a web-based training programme for family caregivers of people with cognitive loss in Hong Kong. Alumni are welcome to join.

To encourage participation, the following prizes will be granted:
- Best Fundraiser Award – Individual
- Best Fundraiser Award – Group
- Best Fundraiser Award – College / Graduate School
- Most Number of Participants Award – College / Graduate School

Chinese Medicine Seminars

The School of Chinese Medicine will organize a series of Chinese Medicine Seminars every Wednesday from February to April (except 17 February) from 4:30pm - 6:30pm at LT2, Esther Lee Building, Chung Chi College. Alumni are welcome to join. No registration is required.

Presentation Ceremony of Exemplary Teaching Award in General Education 2009-10
