The orientation session for newly admitted freshmen to the Division of Biomedical Sciences in 2015-2016 was successfully organized by the 4th SBS Postgraduate Student Association (SBS PSA) on 13 August 2015.

During the event, Mr. Lian Wei, President of SBS PSA, warmly welcomed the freshmen by giving them a brief introduction of the School, the history of SBS PSA and the activities organized by the PSA so far. Other PSA members and senior students also shared their research, study and living experience in Hong Kong with the freshmen. After several ice-breaking games, the newcomers were briefed on the organization of SBS Postgraduate Research Day 2014. With the encouragement of senior students, many of the freshmen volunteered to join the Organizing Committee of the SBS Postgraduate Research Day 2015. At the end of the event, Professor Chan Wai-yee, School Director and Professor Woody W.Y. Chan, Associate Director (Graduate Education), gave a few words of advice and encouragement, and extended their warmest welcome to the freshmen.

The orientation session allows our freshmen to have a joyful and fruitful discussion with their fellow schoolmates, and also helps them acclimatize to the new research environment in the School.
