The SBS Postgraduate Student Association (PSA) was pleased to have invited Ms. Liu Haijing Helen, our postgraduate alumnus, to share in a career planning talk on the topic "From Biomedical Sciences to Law" on 21 January 2016. This was another career planning talk since the previous one was held in the summer of 2015. Ms. Liu graduated from our School with a Master of Philosophy degree in 2010 and completed a Doctor of Laws (J.D.) degree in 2014. She is currently working as an attorney in Luxembourg. During the talk, Ms. Liu shared her experience in how the study on biomedical sciences paved the way for her present engagement in legal field. Apart from commitment to academic research and teaching, the distinctive career path of Ms. Liu has offered our postgraduate students another career alternative, which is attainable as long as they can have acquired outstanding analytical and problem solving skills from the study of biomedical sciences. |
