5. Automated Vehicle Access Control System Comes

ITSC provides technical help and support to Automated Vehicle Access Control System (AVACS) owned and operated by Security Office.

With AVACS, pre-registered vehicles can enter and exit the Main Campus automatically by using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, CU Link cards or pre-registered Octopus cards.  Visiting vehicles can access the Main Campus by using Octopus cards, with which payment can be settled.

New free parking redemption terminals in Libraries for CUHK Alumni Credit Card holders and new QR-code-based free parking coupons will be deployed together with the new system.

To learn more, you could go to the website of Security Office www.scu.cuhk.edu.hk to find the details including videos about this new system.
