Information Sessions for Freshmen of the Graduate Division of Biomedical Sciences

To enable newly admitted postgraduate research students to better understand the ongoing research projects within the School before finalizing their thesis supervisors and research topics, two information sessions were arranged by the Graduate Division in Biomedical Sciences on 6 August 2014 for the thesis supervisors to introduce their research projects to the new intakes admitted in 2014-2015.

During the information sessions, the freshmen were briefed on the laboratory rotation scheme available at the School, and had the opportunity to discuss and exchange research ideas or topics with their potential thesis supervisors.  Guided tours to the laboratories of respective potential supervisors were also arranged for the freshmen after the information sessions.

Both the laboratory rotation scheme and the information sessions help facilitating our students to know more about our teaching staff and the different research projects available within the School, hence allowing them to finalize their research projects according to their interests and capability.
