CUHK may well be the local university with the greatest number of restaurants -- more than 20 in all! These restaurants offer a wide range of dishes and delicacies, thai food provided by the University Staff Common Roomis one of the examples

CUHK may well be the local university with the greatest number of restaurants -- more than 20 in all! Some of the signature dishes and delicacies include:

Chinese Delights

  • Dim Sum – Benjamin Franklin Centre Staff Canteen
  • Rice with barbecued pork – New Asia College Student Canteen
  • Steamed custard cream bun with salty egg yolk, "Siu Mai"– United College Student Canteen / Staff Restaurant

Asian Fare

  • Tom Yum Kung soup, deep-fried Thai shrimp cake, Thai green papaya salad and Thai homemade green / red curryUniversity Staff Common Room 
  • Curry dishes – Shaw College Staff Dining Room
  • Vietnamese rice noodles – Benjamin Franklin Centre Coffee Corner

Western Delicacies

  • Lemon pie – Basic Medical Sciences Building Snack Bar
  • Sandwiches and baked potatoes – Li Wai Chun Building Coffee Shop
  • Breakfast in the garden – Orchid Lodge

Not to be missed

  • Red bean ice drink – New Asia College Student Canteen
  • Hong Kong snacks – Women Cooperative Store
