The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) took part in the Study Abroad Fair held by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) on October 26 – 27. The event invited over 30 institutions from all over the world to join a series of activities including exhibitions and sharing sessions to promote their experiential learning opportunities.
Apart from Hong Kong and Taiwan universities, representatives from Australia, Belgium, Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Korea and Sweden also joined the two-day fair. Delegates showcased their wide range of learning activities, and met with participating students in information sessions. Panel sessions were held where the delegates explored and discussed various issues ranging from integration of local and international students, international student service to innovation and entrepreneurship training, and short-term mobility opportunities.
The event enabled exchange of ideas on student affairs and related issues between CUHK and global universities. The University further promoted its learning opportunities and academic programmes in mainland China, and built closer ties with SJTU.
SJTU has been a close partner of CUHK since the establishment of partnership in 1990. Both universities established links in student exchange, summer courses, research placement and cultural exploration activities. The Summer Research Placement Programme and Summer Cultural Interflow Programme organized by the Office have been well received by SJTU students.
