The Working Group of CUHK Student Notebook Ownership Program 2015^1 brings you a range of special offers from Acer and Lenovo. CUHK students, staff, departments^2 and alumni can choose to purchase:

  • Acer and Lenovo notebooks and tablets with discounts
  • Anti-virus and application software (the University also offers FREE use of such software^3)
  • Printers and other computing accessories

Students, staff and alumni can place your orders through the online ordering system at http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/price/special starting from 12:00n.n. of 19 Aug, 2015, or in the road shows:

The Working Group is composed of representatives of the University Student Union, the nine college student unions (Chung Chi College, New Asia College, United College, Shaw College, Morningside College, S.H. Ho College, C.W. Chu College, Wu Yee Sun College and Lee Woo Sing College), the CU Postgraduate Student Association, the Business Office, and the ITSC. Notebook recommendation is based on a tender evaluation result in comparing the price, performance, features, system design, support, delivery schedule, corporate social responsibility and the overall program support from various suppliers.

The University also offers free use of anti-virus and MS Office applications software for students and staff:

Staff and students can also choose free open source files (such as Open Office) for their own use.
