Prof. Zhang Weiguo, President of Southwest University, led a five-member delegation to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 6 April. They met with Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Ms Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China). Discussions were held on collaboration opportunities in student activities and talent nurturing.
The delegates received updates about the University's latest developments. Both sides shared with each other their respective academic strength, and explored the opportunities of organizing student exchange activities in other regions than Hong Kong and Chongqing. The delegation was then led to visit the University Gallery and campus facilities, where they got to know more about CUHK's history and management systems. The visit facilitated the enhancement of communication to expand the scope of collaboration in the future.
In recent years, CUHK has been coordinating various activities in collaboration with Southwest University, among which the summer camps in both universities as well as the Global Internship Programme of CUHK were popular.
