No further Microsoft security updates, patches and support will make your windows and window servers highly vulnerable to security attacks. So, you should act now to upgrade your devices to newer versions if you want to use them on the campus network.

Currently, the University Software Standards recommends Windows 10 Enterprise Edition 64-bit Multilingual User Interface with Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese (Build Number within 18 months) as standard software within CUHK. Departments should have completed or be carrying out the upgrade of departmental PCs too. Students and staff with personal devices running the above versions are also recommended to do the upgrade as soon as practical.
