CUHK Bridge to China Team: Progress Update

CUHK Bridge to China Team is a university volunteering team formed under this Centre with the support and guidance from Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation.  Since 2009, the team has participated in and organised numerous investigation trips on villages, bridge building projects and public health programmes with the help of CUHK students.  The CUHK Bridge to China Team 2018-19 even received the Silver Award for Volunteer Service (Group) issued by the Social Welfare Department in appreciation of its contribution of 600 hours of volunteer service to the community in 2019.

Recruitment of core members for the CUHK Bridge to China Team of this academic year was completed last month.  The selected members took part in numerous training activities online on the 22nd of this month, through which they interacted with each other and cultivated a sense of belongings to the team.  They also learnt about the previous projects on bridge building and livelihood improvement works in order to better prepare themselves for the coming project.

This Centre will continue walking with the CUHK Bridge to China Team to develop the community in remote areas and enhancing people’s living condition on the Mainland.  For enquiries, please contact Miss Wong of this Centre via 3943 9957 (Tel) or cathy@cuhk.edu.hk (Email).
