Three CUHK projects awarded by the WUN Research Development Fund 2012
The competitive WUN Research Development Fund (RDF) offers seeding fund to kick-start research projects under four key areas of research identified as the Global Challenges, including "Adapting to Climate Change", "Global Higher Education and Research", "Public Health and Non-Communicable Diseases", and "Understanding Cultures".
The three applications nominated by CUHK were all successful. Each application was awarded with a grant of £10,000 from WUN, which will be matched by a funding from CUHK. The following table summarizes details of the successful applications:

Research Mobility Programmes for 2013-14
1. PhD Student Exchange Programmes – applications open on 30 January 2013
Applications for the PhD Student Exchange Programmes with the University of Bristol and the University of Leeds for 2013-14 will open on 30 January 2013. The programme allows CUHK and the partner universities to exchange up to two PhD students per year for short-term research undertakings of 3-6 months. Selected CUHK students will be awarded with a grant to cover part of the travelling cost and living expenses at the host university. The closing date is 15 March 2013.
2. Short-term Faculty Exchange Programmes – applications open on 30 January 2013
Applications for the Short-term Faculty Exchange Programmes with the University of Bristol and the University of Leeds for 2013-14 will open on 30 January 2013. The programmes allow CUHK and the partner universities to exchange one to two faculty members per year for a one-week exploratory visit at the host university. CUHK will provide the international airfare to selected outgoing faculty members and free accommodation to the visiting faculty members. The closing date is 15 March 2013.
