Make Summer 2009 Count: University Summer Programmes Open for Application

There is more to summer than swimming and playing video games. Our young friends should start your summer planning early -- a wide range of summer programmes offered by the University are now open for application!

The CUHK International Summer School (ISS) and CUHK Summer Institute (SI) organized by the Office of Summer Programmes now accept online application for its 2009 programmes. While the ISS aims to offer local and international undergraduates an international learning environment and opportunities for quality cultural exchange during the summer, the SI is a 2-week residential programme designed for local and international high school students (Secondary 5, Secondary 6 or equivalent) to help them explore their interests in different disciplines and give them an early experience of university residential life.

Meanwhile, the New Asia--Yale-in-China Chinese Language Center of the University will offer intensive Putonghua or Cantonese programmes ranging from 2 weeks to 10 weeks in June, July and August for current high school students and undergraduates regardless of nationality.

For details of other summer programmes of the University, please keep an eye on the University's website.
