Welcoming Dinner – International Night

'Welcoming Dinner – International Night' gives you an opportunity to meet with students from different backgrounds and Senior Management at the start of the new academic year.

A stand-up comedy show* on the theme of 'Encountering Cultures' will bring you an amusing evening plus an insight into the city's multi-ethnic issues. Besides, you are invited onto the stage and to show us your proud culture in the Folk Costumes Catwalk Show!

*About the stand-up comedian:

Mr. Vivek Mahbubani is of Indian descent and was born and raised in Hong Kong. He faced a lot of cultural challenges because he was surrounded by non-Indians. Vivek was crowned 2007 Chinese and 2008 English Funniest Comedian in Hong Kong and was the host of the TV series 'Hong Kong Stories' by RTHK. Aside from comedy, Vivek is the drummer for the local heavy metal band Eve of Sin and a self-employed web designer & developer.
