Visit of Prof. Wang Guangtao, Member of the Standing Committee of NPC

Prof. Wang Guangtao, Member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of PRC and Chairman of the Environmental Protection and Resources Conservation Committee, led a delegation to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) from 2 to 5 February for academic exchange. Prof. Lawrence J. Lau, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor-Designate; Prof. Benjamin Wah, Provost;  Prof. Kenneth Young, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; and Prof. Xu Yangsheng, Associate-Pro-Vice-Chancellor welcomed the delegation.

During his visit, Prof. Wang met with relevant academics to discuss matters of space and resource management. He also delivered a lecture on urban planning in response to climate changes, sharing with the audiences his valuable insights pertaining to planning strategies for sustainable urban development. The lecture attracted more than 100 attendees including academics, researchers and students.
