On 13 March 2009, Dr. Chan To delivered an interactive talk on the interesting topic "Exploring the Acculturation of Young New Arrivals in Hong Kong: An Application of Lewinian Field Theory". It attracted an audience of more than twenty which constituted not just our doctorate and DipEd students and the colleagues of our Department but those from other Departments as well.
我系的黃毅英教授、霍秉坤教授以及香港浸會大學教育系的鄧國俊教授於2009年5月20日(週三)在何添樓B5室舉行了題為「從香港數學課程的發展反思課程改革」的午間講座。三位教授從數學課程改革在過程與內容、兒童中心與教師帶動、學科與跨學科、監控與協調、教師專業發展緩與速等方面，總結了香港小學數學課程於1967至1983年的改革經驗，並藉此與與會者共同探討這些經驗對今天各學科的課程改革，有什麼參考價值？當日出席午間講座的參與者多達40餘人，除了本學院不同學系的同事和研究生外，更有教育局中學校本支援組數學學科的同事以及20餘位來自內地的資深數學教師參與討論。
