OSA holds a series of workshops with various cultural themes during semester - they are totally free and welcome ALL. If you are eager to immerse yourself in exotic languages, make folk handicrafts or regional snacks or learn about global issues and make foreign friends, you shouldn't miss them!

Be a Henna Artist

Add some South Asia zest onto your body

Henna is traditionally used for special occasions, especially weddings, in South Asia. As long as the henna stain stays, the bride doesn't have to do any housework! Join our Henna with Hidden Women, a group of self-employed local Pakistani ladies. Gentlemen are also welcome!

 

Loi Krathong Festival Time!

Learn to make and float water lanterns like Thai people

Loi Krathong is a festival celebrated annually, usually in November, in Thailand. As a tradition, people make "floating baskets" with banana leaves and flowers. Come to learn from our Thai ladies and listen to their stories.
