OALC celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival at a luncheon gathering with incoming scholars and students under our Mainland and Taiwan Visiting Scholar and Student Programmes on 3 October, during which participants enjoyed the harmonious festive atmosphere in the University.

Together with other CUHK members, Prof. Robin Huang, Faculty of Law and Ms. Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China), dined with scholars from Wuhan University, Jilin University and Shaanxi Normal University, and students from East China Normal University and Zhejiang University.  Participants shared their experience in the University as well as their teaching and learning outcomes in Hong Kong.

To forge academic exchange and collaboration between CUHK and its cross-strait partners, OALC launched the Mainland and Taiwan Visiting Scholar Programme in 2008, and the Mainland and Taiwan Visiting Student Programme in 2011.  The Office also started coordinating the Hong Kong Scholars Programme in 2015, and receiving postgraduate students under the Joint Supervision of Postgraduate Student Programme in 2016.
