SRC, CHKS, and CCAS Occasional Papers Now Available on HKIAPS Website


 
We are happy to announce that our Institute has finished digitalizing a total number of 135 past Occasional Papers of the Social Research Centre, Centre for Contemporary Asian Studies and Centre for Hong Kong Studies.  The three centres were predecessors of our Institute.

中國社會科學院學者講座系列:消費和中國發展的新階段

合辦:香港中文大學學術交流處(國內事務)

李教授為「中國社會科學院學者講座系列」擔任主講嘉賓,與中大師生及公眾人士交流互動,分享他的研究經驗和心得。講座吸引了超過70人參加,反應熱烈。中大自2012年起舉辦社科院學者訪校計劃,每年邀請三至四位社科院學者到訪,並主持「中國社會科學院學者講座系列」。此計劃旨在加強中大與社科院在不同研究領域的學術交流和長期合作,加強彼此聯繫。

Two public lectures were held to facilitate communication between those from the land-based Belt and the Maritime Silk Road countries. Prof. Wang Gungwu and Prof. Peter Frankopan were invited to give keynote speeches and have a dialogue with Prof. Leung Yuen-sang, Dean, Faculty of Arts, CUHK and Prof. David Faure, Wei Lun Research Professor of History, CUHK, respectively. Each lecture was attended by over 300 guests.

Policy Research Workshop: Writing Policy Papers

Ms. Annie Tam Kam-lan, GBS, JP (Former Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare, HKSAR Government)

Speakers shared with the audience their insights on the potential barriers to translating academic work into government policy reports/briefs and suggested helpful techniques for effective policy paper writing. More than thirty invited professors and researchers, including several CUHK Research Committee members, attended the workshop.
