A delegation from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) led by Mr. Guo Zhi Wei, Deputy Director of the Department of Basic Research, visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 26 March 2015 to understand the research development of the University. Apart from the delegates from MOST, the delegation comprised representatives from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR and Innovation and Technology Commission.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by senior members of CUHK including Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Fanny Cheung, Pro-Vice-Chancellor. CUHK research teams presented their achievements to the delegation during the meeting. Under the guidance of Prof. Chan Wai Yee, Director of School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), the delegation toured the laboratories and research facilities to receive updates on research work of the University. 

The visit helped promote academic exchange and enhanced communication between MOST and CUHK.
