The 6th International Conference on Travel Writings in Chinese, co-organised by United College, Ming Pao Monthly and Macao Foundation, was held from 28 November to 4 December 2017. The Opening Ceremony was held on 28 November 2017 at LT6, Lee Shau Kee Building. Mr Zhu Ting, Deputy Director General of the Publicity, Culture and Sports Department, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; Professor Jimmy C M Yu, College Head; Dr Wilfred Y W Wong, Chairman of Hong Kong Arts Development Council; Professor Yu Qiuyu, distinguished cultural scholar; Mr Poon Yiu-ming, Chief Editor of Ming Pao Monthly and other scholars officiated the ceremony. Around a hundred prominent writers, professors and scholars worldwide presented their papers and contributed to this fruitful conference.
